A long day 'twas and the traffic standstill,
At last, I wondered, we could eat our stomach's fill.
I waited and begged and pleaded and prayed,
"Dun't have change, come later" is all that they said.
But I wasn't disappointed 'coz someday I'll be rich,
and all the things in this world will switch...
I love my mother as she is very very good,
Though I come empty, she gives me enough food.
But I dunt like her cries when she puts me to bed,
"Your father left us to stay with the god", she once said..
But I wasn't unhappy 'coz someday I'll be rich,
and all the things in this world will switch...
I heard that there are kids who need not work at all !
They just eat and study and play football !!
There are rich people who eat 3-4 curries a meal !
When we get to eat only leftover rice, water and even banana peel !!
But I was not angry 'coz someday I'll be rich,
and all the things in this world will switch...

HEB : Here Everything's Better :P
US is great when it comes to work ethics and stuff but I think people have a more comfortable life in India thought they are poor than here.. I had a lot of new experiences everyday here in US.. so much that I have decided to pen them down.. I guess it'll be interesting to first timers as they can relate to my experiences and a little bit informative to the people who might be planning to come over here.. will divide that systematically into some columns just like the us people do :P
The send off...
Things became pretty gloomy few days before leaving to US. The environment is like "Is this all necessary" kinda thing. I met a lot of people for the last time in India. With school friends, I was a little bit sentimental. Spoke some last words with them about their well being, giving and taking suggestions, remembered some memorable moments we had together, hugged them and bade them a good bye. We met at our common meeting place / adda called Eater's stop and completed the ceremony. Eyes spoke more than anything else on that day!!
Then the send off from my paternal uncles and their families began hours before my departure from the railway station. my two uncles, aunts and my cousins who are 5 in number came to the station. Everyone picked up a random topic and were giving various suggestions on how to live there, what to cook in case of scarcity, how to stay away from danger, how to be more organized and stuff like that. I dint know what to speak and was listing patiently to them. I really didn't wanna leave to US at this point of time, but things went by and I departed from the station after a proper send off.
The send off at the airport is probably the most dramatic of all. We had one of the heaviest downpour that day. One of my uncles passed a comment that may be the "Hyderabad is crying for your departure" :P for which my sister replied that they were in fact tears of happiness for getting rid of me :D... I really dint want anyone to come to airport that day due to the torrential rainfall.. but I was really glad (:P) at the same time a little angry, that my wingies (avinesh, kowshik, rahul, ravi, ponky, pondy, "menace" manohar) came for me in that rain hiring a cab. They made the guy who generally hides from attention the center of attraction that day.. anyways I am glad that I missed the bumps they planned for me in the airport :). We had some good time together, the presented me with a wonderful or rather awesome gift / momento (Thank you guys), and departed by taking some last pics and vids.
Last but not least I had the most sentimental part of leaving my closes family. Had a personal session with each of my parents, my sister, grand mother and my uncles and aunt. Everyone was speaking with their eyes. my granma kissed me on my forehead, I hugged my uncle, had a close chat with my mom, sis and dad.. and finally entered the airport. My independent journey has started from here.
Around most of the world in a day :P
The long, tiring, a little bit exciting journey has started.. I was quite nervous as my cabin baggage was more than 10 kg while the allowed weight is only 7 kg. My mom had a real challenge to include all the necessary things within the prescribed space and weight. She had a leave for her hospital for around a week to help me pack or rather pack :P my luggage. But nothing did happen and infact learnt that ppl with 2-3 kg more in each of their normal baggage were even allowed !! We had an easy check in, met some guys who were headed to different universities like TAMU, texas tech, UFL etc. Me and Aravind, my room mate took the boarding passes but couldn't get them together. The journey of the flight was almost around the world.
It went from Hyderabad to Dubai flying on Mumbai which was pretty much a straight line. Then, the next flight went from Dubai went north west towards Europe till we were on the north of UK, then we went west to Greenland and then we descended south west to Houston!! a trip of the northern hemisphere. It took us around 16 1/2 hours!! btw during this journey I had a girl who was from malla reddy engineering college on one side and a pakistani on the other :P.
The irony was that we both were watching the movie "neevalle neevalle" in which the hero had to travel some 15 hours with this girl who's the second heroine :P.
I completed the immigration very quickly as I was the near the front end of the airbus and again the name ut-austin did some magic. Had to wait long hours before the flight could depart. For the more interesting things, there was this cheer girls gang in their skimpy costumes who were making a lot of noise attracting attention and for a first timer like me it was a different experience to watch :P. The thing I noticed first is the density of population. The airport in shamshabad is small and very crowded. The one in Dubai is big and crowded, however the one in Houston is huge and very sparse. You have the conveyor belts, the small cars to transport people etc. to make these lazy people even lazier :P.
The US (Austn, Tx)
United States is a very very well planned and sophisticated country. Austin is among the top 5 comfortable places to live. Everything is so planned that u cannot even find different types of trees adjacent to each other or irregularly spaced trees :D. Everything is air conditioned and the city is very very hot. There is no dust here and hence the intensity of sun's radiation is very high. The bikes and cars are awesome. However there are no small retail shops to buy things which u might need in emergency, and no public telephones which make life very difficult if u do not have a car and a mobile. Its all "keep right" here, which is very confusing initially. though its tough initially, Life's a luxury as time progresses. However the lack of manual labor is the only concern.
The American culture
People in US are work-minded. People here believe in facts than emotions. They are responsible, neat, dignified, work hard, party hard, a little bit selfish, publicly display emotions, over react, very professional, and have a sense of dignity of labor. Here are some instances to illustrate them
- You will be occasionally wished hi or hello by a complete stranger, but thats it he will simply move on.
- Before any interaction, you'll be asked how your day was or something like that but they instantly come to the topic, and while leaving its your minimum manners to wish them "have a nice day" or "take care" etc.. Things are so formal here that u need to wish the person who bills you a thank you :P
- However you will be solely considered on your merit rather than your background. Thats why there are no bribes here.
- There will be no traffic police here, of course there will be video surveillance. In fact there is no necessity for them as each one follows the rules perfectly. If you do not follow them, you'll either be fined or people look at you like an ill-mannered guy which is more painful :P.
- People here do not utter words as they are. They add a lot of stress and emotion to it. They also help you very well. They patiently listen and answer to you if they are free or bluntly say no. No formalities here!! :)
- However the relations here aren't that strong. everything is a passing relationship. They make and break friends easily. Moreover there is little sense of a family. You can occasionally see old people and little children doing their works themselves and commuting to far off places.
I guess this is enough of the boring narration. Will come back to you with more interesting things and experiments I have done here. In short : I have blown a pressure cooker, walked some 8 miles in scorching heat for no use, had some funny mishaps while cooking etc.

The recognition....
"The only way to make people respect you and your things get done is when you have achieved something too great for the people to achieve or you have that invincible stack of knowledge with you.....
So Strive hard for knowledge as knowledge is power!!!!"
---Srivatsava
This is wat i have written long back somewhere deep inside a book...... n i really wonder wat made me to do so...
"Recognition" is the key word why people struggle all day in and day out without realising that they are wasting the precious time of thier life......
There is a story for this which i have read long back.... so here it goes.....
once upon a time .... (as usual the same phrase ;)) there was a school teacher who has arranged a get together of alumni students in his residence. He wanted to test how many of his students have changed!!! so he decided to test them...
He served tea to the students in beautifully designed porcelain cups , elegant glassware , graceful bronze cups , normal steel glasses , plastic cups and the mud ones.....
Then he was surprosed to see all of them take the beautiful porcelain , bronze and glass cups and almost all neglected the plastic and mud ones....
After seeing the state of his students he said "My dear fellows ,
i have observed that all of you have changed a lot !!! (imagine the plight of his students now!!!)
I have served all of you in different cups but nobody seems to be interested in normal cups though the tea in all of them is the same!!!! All of you seem to be enjoyig the grandeur of the cups in which tea is served rather than the tea itself!!!
Life's like this my dear students....people don't enjoy life but seem to derive enjoyment from the earthly pleasures and the way thier life is led!!! infact they pretend to njoy life that way without actually realising wat enjoyment is!!"
The other day when i have visited LS,HC,IMAX,eatstreet.. etc.. with my frenz i was really wondering wat has got into the people's mind!!! all of them were trying to show off thier extravagance!!! costly n skin hugging dresses, latest design dressware , just released cellphones and ofcourse the latest sensation The ipod...
Though people don't really need all this to live a life!!!! they ive more importance to these things and forget that "they are indeed not enjoying but just showing off!!! and the real enjoyment needs no extravagance"
The real enjoyment comes only when you can feel it!!! only when your passions are met and even drinnking a cup of coffee on a road side stall with a nice friend and enjoying the weather can be more enjoyable than taking your sweetheart to the most happening disco , wearing the latest fashionware and feeling uncomfortable there!!!
So wake up my friends and live every moment of your life to the fullest rather than worrying all the time about making it "seemingly better"!! :)
So Strive hard for knowledge as knowledge is power!!!!"

My Sassy Gal !!!!
This is a poem dedicated to my gal , my sassy gal !!!
I close my eyes in leisure,
and her innocent smile gives me immense pleasure...
Like an endless evening sea,
Like a rising sun on the horizon,
Like a picture of davinci,
Like an angel reborn ...
Her beauty is the greatest mystery,
I have ever seen in my history ...
She's there in sorrow and happiness,
She's there with me every day and night,
She's there in my loneliness,
She's there to support me with all her might ...
Her voice like a jingle bell,
makes me feel so well
and when it rings in my ears,
i feel i can live with her for all my years ...
Her twinkling eyes flash in my memory,
and believe meee its my moment of glory,
and wonder if she is my "pori" ( telugu):P ...
she is my dream
and together we can make a great team ...
You may wonder who she is !!!
she is my dream girl (:P)
my sassy girl ...
and ...
The tickle of her memory,
stays with me as an unexplored treasury (:))
Thatz all folks frenz...

God :- omnipresent or absent ??????
This was ,is and has always been the greatest mystery in the universe.
I have always wondered about this since my childhood whether god really exists or not...
When I was a child , I was told that god shani would entere us if we don't clean ourselves after emptying our bowels... and would follow us in whatever work we do and lead to all kinds of misfortunes . I also watched the movie starring S.V. Rangarao wo also suffers for the same.. these thing greatly affected my tender mind, and believe me i started washing both my hands and legs atleast thrice after emptying my bowels..
that was the effect of the movie on me!!!!!
At this time I was a strong believer of god...
The situation started changing when one of my close friends became an athiest..
He started thinking everything in terms of science and explained that there's nothing of the sort of god and gid doesn't exist at all.
It greatly influenced me and I also started supporting him though many of our frenz criticised us . I remained as an athiest for several years .
But the situation began to change when some questions haunted me like "Why on earth would so many people worship some non existant creature . All of them are indeed intelligent and more experienced than me but why are they doing this?? " and "why would I think of a nonexistant God and none else when i am in some trouble???"
These questions haunted me for long and during this time I watched movies like "annamayya" and other devotional movies like "manjunatha" which are stories of an athiest who hates god but turns into a great servant of go for the rest of his life just due to the realisation provided by the so called "GOD".
Now enters the mischief and fantasy in me!!!!
Imagine wat ???
I started fantasising myself as one of those "annamayya" or "manjunatha" and hoped that i would also turn like them by the "grace of god"!!!!!
So now i wanted to test the existance of god!!!
Guess what I would do???
I prayed to god that "oh lord venkateshwara.....I am praying you after a long time and want to test ur existence!!!! so if u really exist, then fulfil my desire then I would become ur dedicated servant 4 the rest of my life and if not I will remain as an athiest for the rest of my life and my desireis that "it must start raining within half an hour "!!!!!"...
Guess what happened????
Hey its not any telugu movie but it really did happen :- it started raining after just 10 minutes heavily...I was terribly shocked at this phenomenon and said everything to my frenz who just laughed at me asying that i was weaving some cock and bull story!!! Imagine my plight at this moment!!!
After this I was totally confused about god and developed a fear that god really exists and is going to punish me 4 all the athiest work i have done!!!!
All this confusion cleared up when i had a vocal fight with my father who argued that god really exists... When I said that it was man who created god my father replied that all the world that is today is because of the rules and discipline as laid by the religion otherwise people would have fought among themselves and the world wuld have been reduced to ashes in minutes and that god is the hope in evrey one mind and we can really feel it when we pray him and we are repaying all that has been done to us by the religion by praying god!!!!
This was i think the best xplanation of god i have ever heard.
I feel that there must be hope, discipline and set of rules to guide a human life and god forms the basis of all these . As every person has hope in him ,every person has god in him and all gods are indeed one and that is our hope and discipline irrespective of wat religion one belongs to ...

The Great
Life is great,
if golden is your fate.
Friendship is great,
if your pal does not senate.
Love is great,
if your proposal is not late.
The world is great,
if your heart is update.
One is never great,
if one is in stalemate.
You are great,
if greatness is your innate.
"How about this ?"
if golden is your fate.
Friendship is great,
if your pal does not senate.
Love is great,
if your proposal is not late.
The world is great,
if your heart is update.
One is never great,
if one is in stalemate.
You are great,
if greatness is your innate.
"How about this ?"
My Quotes
TALENT -- True Attitude in Laying, Ensuring and Nurturing Thoughts.
"Life is like walking on a knife with few blunts."
"I am the sum of scalar product of flesh and bones and the vector product of mind and thoughts."
"A good friend is a mirror
and a bad friend is a lens."
Not bad..Is it ??

Do It!!!
Life is a game, play it.
Ambition is a dream, dream it.
Talent is a weapon, use it.
Love is a treaty, sign it.
Desire is an animal, tame it.
Bravery is a virtue, possess it.
Acting is an art, practise it.
God's mind is a mystery, understand it.
This poem is interesting, enjoy it.

The way of world
The world is vibrant,
if you are elegant.
The world is beautiful,
if you are truthful.
The world is caring,
if you are love sharing.
The world is attractive,
if you are imaginative.
The world is horror,
if you are the loser.
The world is broken,
if your mind is shaken.
The world is in mist,
if you are a pessimist.
The world is shapeless,
if you are thoughtless.
The world is you,
and you are the world.
I hope you will say "once more please"
if you are elegant.
The world is beautiful,
if you are truthful.
The world is caring,
if you are love sharing.
The world is attractive,
if you are imaginative.
The world is horror,
if you are the loser.
The world is broken,
if your mind is shaken.
The world is in mist,
if you are a pessimist.
The world is shapeless,
if you are thoughtless.
The world is you,
and you are the world.
I hope you will say "once more please"
Nature
How I wonder about Nature,
And about its future.
why is man'kind' not so kind
to these innocent creatures,
and the nature's magnificient features.
Is this civilisation a humbug!
or is the realisation after the broken Jug.
I wonder if I could ever feel,
the glorious nature reel;
with all its instinct zeal,
and enraven itself out of man's zeal.
How pleasant the feeling would be in the grace,
of the nature's embrace.
Why should we miss the thrill,
of the starry skies, the golden sands, the lush green forests
just to follow idiotic man's drill.
See deep into the nature's eyes,
and feel what your heart sighs.
It indicates only one thing,
and that's to dance with nature's joyful spring.
Human is a trainer of lion like nature,
who could survive only until the lion has patience.
Nature is your mirror,
and can turn to be your horror!!!
Hope you enjoyed my poem.

Love is ??
If life is chemistry,
love is a chemical bond.
All those who can form a bond are lucky,
others are unlucky.
If life is physics,
love is an electric circuit.
Lucky people form terminals
and unlucky people form resistances.
If life is mathematics,
love is like a puzzle.
Lucky people solve the puzzle,
and others cannot.
"I am an MPC student"
love is a chemical bond.
All those who can form a bond are lucky,
others are unlucky.
If life is physics,
love is an electric circuit.
Lucky people form terminals
and unlucky people form resistances.
If life is mathematics,
